Psychotherapy With Adults
Therapy with Caroline:
Caroline places the therapeutic relationship at the forefront of the counseling process. She believes that a relationship that embodies trust and respect has the capacity to deeply heal. Through a mindfulness-based perspective, She enjoys working with those suffering from self-medicating behaviors, self-esteem issues, depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and life-transitions.
Finding the right fit with a counselor can be difficult, so Caroline encourages you to reach out and help her understand your needs as a client. She looks forward to you starting this process of healing!
Being human can be hard. Especially when you feel isolated, different-than, stagnant, or unworthy. Throughout both her personal and professional work in therapy, Caroline has come to understand that these states of being human are largely unavoidable, yet teach us so much about ourselves and our needs, if we allow ourselves to explore them. She believes that you already have many of the answers you seek, and engaging in therapy is one way to access the insight you already possess. She’d love to help you develop self-compassion, understanding, and tolerance for the wide-range of emotions that come with being human!

Fun Fact about yourself (to be shared on the website): Animals, yoga, and dance are a strong passion of Caroline’s. Before she entered the realm of counseling, she earned a living in South Florida teaching people how to ride horses, as well as rescue alligators that would otherwise be harvested for their meat and hide. Her work with alligators eventually landed her on two shows on Animal Planet with a team of rescuers that would both rescue alligators and perform research on 18+ foot crocodiles in Costa Rica. Random right? She now only has the pleasure of wrangling her dog, two cats, and chickens here in Nashville. She strongly believes in the healing force of nature and animals. She has also studied Buddhism for more than 13 years and has found contemplative practices help the counseling process immensely.
