Integrative Therapy of Nashville will be offering a great new virtual series for Trauma Informed Yoga. Join Natalie Roth, Masters Level Intern, on Wednesday mornings from 8-9am beginning October 14th over Zoom (Registration link below).
What is Trauma-Informed Yoga?
Trauma can manifest in many ways in our bodies, as it is stored, unprocessed information. Trauma Informed Yoga can help create space and connection to the body’s natural processing and healing abilities. Trauma could be circumstances from your childhood, sexual assault, the impact of Covid or even a falling out with a friend or partner. Trauma can be whatever is taking up space in your body and creating a block to the healing process.
What to Expect:
The emphasis of these trauma-sensitive yoga classes is not on the external expression of the poses, but rather the internal experience. Clients are always invited to choose movements that best suit their comfort level, inquire among themselves where they might be feeling sensation within the body and explore accepting the present moment just as it is.
The group will have a short check-in at the beginning of each session so that any requests or needs can be honored.
